Panhard rod - removal, bush renewal and refitting
1 Raise the vehicle at the rear and support on safety stands (see “Jacking and vehicle support”).
2 Undo and remove the Panhard rod-to-body retaining bolt.

3 Unscrew and remove the locknut and bolt retaining the Panhard rod to the axle and remove the rod.
4 Renewal of the Panhard rod bushes can be accomplished by using sockets or distance pieces and applying pressure in the jaws of a vice.

Lubricate the new bushes with paraffin to ease fitting.
5 Refit the Panhard rod by reversing the removal procedure. Tighten the retaining bolts to their specified torque wrench settings when the vehicle is lowered and free-standing.
