Radiator fan - removal and refitting

1 Disconnect the battery.

2 Pull the wiring connector plug from the rear of the fan motor and unclip the wiring from the fan cowl.

3 Unscrew the two fan retaining bolts from the base of the cowl, followed by the two upper bolts.

4 Carefully lift the fan assembly from the engine compartment, taking care not to damage the radiator.

5 If removing the fan from the motor shaft, first mark their relative fitted positions to ensure correct realignment on assembly.

6 Extract the retaining clip and take off the fan from the motor shaft.

7 Unscrew the three nuts and separate the motor from the shroud.

8 Reassembly and refitting are reversals of the removal and dismantling operations.
